This page is dedicated to all members and potential members who did not live to see our long awaited organization. Please let us know if you have a family member who you want to be listed on this page. If your spouse, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, child, or any direct ancestor to you, served on U.S.S. Midway or U.S.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt or in a squadron that was ever assigned to these two ships, you are eligible to join this association and become a regular member. Only one direct descendant or one parent can have voting rights in the organization after both the original member or potential original member and spouse have passed. All other descendants or parents may become auxiliary members.

The information we have was researched through all available public records. If any of this information is incorrect please let us know. It will be the policy within this new organization to never forget the names of the people who served aboard these two ships or in squadrons assigned to these ships. In time this list will naturally become very large but it is our intention to maintain it as long as possible. We want to always remember our comrades and not drop their names from the association roster after our members have passed. Some of the names have missing information only because it has not been located yet. If you know, for sure, the information we need we would like your help. We intend to update this list periodically and publish the updates on the last day of each month. The latest update to this present list was January 1, 2015.

ARCIERI, Peter T. long time resident of Pinellas Park, died peacefully at home of natural causes April 7, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born in the Bronx, New York on August 19, 1929, he raised his family on Long Island, NY, until he retired to Florida in 1979. A proud member of the US Marine Corps, he was a combat veteran of the Korean War and served on USS Midway as a gunnery sergeant from 1949 to 1951. He also had a distinguished career with the Garden City Police Department, on Long Island, for 21 years. He was the devoted husband of the late Eleanor for 58 years and the loving father of the late Alan. He is survived by his son, Daniel of Long Island; daughter, Debra of Bradenton; daughter-in-law, Diana of Cape Coral; and families. A generous and compassionate man, he was a friend to many who now grieve his loss. The world is, indeed, a brighter and warmer place because of his many selfless contributions. Memorial services will be at Taylor Family Funeral Home in May.
